Description: Designed and build in 1891 by Gilbert Monroe Smith, the "Lucile" is a remarkable historic boat. The "Lucile" was once called a "model boat of the bay." We have taken a mould of the boat and lovingly replicated it from Gilber Smith drawings themseleves. Featuring fiberglass hull and seats, carbon rigged with wooden details and bronze hardware. This replica is made for strength, durability and fun. IT is a 21.5' Long Island catboat. IT is a perfect addition for any seasoned sailor, or for anyone looking for a great family activity. June 16 2022 Update: With heavy hearts, Phin and I have concluded that we are overwhelmed by the continuing impediments that confront a successful effort and are resigned to join the numerous other efforts that have thrown their hands up. For this reason, the 2022 Maine Boatbuilders Show is officially cancelled.
