Description: Our 74- foot Portland built windjammer, Frances, is the perfect vessel for interactive learning on Casco Bay. A windjammer has the ability to become a larger than life classroom, naturally incorporating teamwork and seamanship every time she sets sail. It is our mission aboard Frances to provide an authentic and sustainable platform for learning, and to help our students foster a love and respect for the waters that we steward.
June 16 2022 Update: With heavy hearts, Phin and I have concluded that we are overwhelmed by the continuing impediments that confront a successful effort and are resigned to join the numerous other efforts that have thrown their hands up. For this reason, the 2022 Maine Boatbuilders Show is officially cancelled.
